2011 Schedule for Clinics, Shows, Performances, and Excursions

Armada Bay Excursions are an opportunity for you and your horse to head out to the trails with a group of friends. While trail riding can be a relaxing endeavor, it is also a key aspect to developing confidence between you and your horse. Taking our horses out into different environments helps your horse to learn to rely on and trust your leadership even when other things might seem scary.
Excursions are scheduled at different times throughout the year, and on Fridays or Saturdays from June through August.

Competitions and Performances develop within us the ability to keep our ambitions in check while we lead our horse through the stress of competing. While winning is very fun, the true benefit of competition is learning to work as a team with our horse to get the job done in a way that does not betray our equine partner. Working on honing our skills for a specific event can be a great focus for a time that will really move us forward in our riding skills.
There are at home events and some local show that we will be attending. Some dates are listed below and others will be announced soon.

February 12 - Journaling Life "Through The Eyes of a Horse" Start the New Year off right with increased awareness and perception derived through the practice of journaling. This journaling clinic will give you the tools you need to go deeper in your relationship with your horse. Clinic is from 9 - 3 with a snow date of February 26. Continental breakfast and Journal provided, bring lunch and water bottle. Cost = $55. Please call or email for more information.

April 16 Armada Bay Trail Clinic Opportunity to prepare your horse for the trail season as well as get a peek into obstacles and for the upcoming trail competition Cost $75, Time 8-4, bring a lunch and water bottle, sunscreen etc.

May 30 Armada Bay Memorial Day Trail Competition Entry fee $20 / Ribbons Awarded / Novice and Open Division PotLuck afterwards

August 13 Armada Bay Open Show English and Western Classes $10 / class, $10 office fee (waived with entry of 5 classes or more) Ribbons awarded

September Pair Pace (TBA)

October 29 Halloween Freestyles Entry fee $20 per entry Potluck afterward

Clinics and Seminars provide a fun filled day or weekend to get intense instruction in a specific area. Maybe you are looking to get the intensity that once or twice a week won't get you, or maybe you want to explore a different area to see if that is a path to explore.
